Time to put the trees up. Yes, I said trees, plural. Just two this year. I have three. ;0)
We don't do real trees here, two reasons: 1. The first year we were married we went out to get a tree, it was cold but a pretty winter afternoon, with in the hour it took to pick out a tree, an ice storm hit. It wasn't pretty and it took nearly a week to get that tree defrosted! 2. We have extended family members that have pine allergies.
Anywho, this is our annual tradition, Christmas music on (no Christmas shows, too distracting) and Santa hats. And it begins:
This is what we call "fluffing" the branches.
This is the tree master, he reigns supreme on putting the tree together.
G says there is no reason to stand up to fluff the branch, he can do it perfectly well in the reclined position.
The finished product. We go for the wherever they want to put the ornaments look. Oh, see that tree skirt, I made that the first year we were married, it's reversible. This side looks quilted the other side is a snow scene.

Speedy recovery, mim!! Your trees are lovely. Did you wear a Santa hat, too? :-)
Great trees, Elv(is)es! Feel free to come work on ours. ;-)
Hope you are recovering.
Beautiful tree, lovely traditon.
We have the put together tree too. I get negative comments from real tree people frequently, why? Anyway yours is beautiful.
I took a break from the computer to get work done and I missed your surgery post. I hope all went well and you are up and at em soon.
Hope you're doing well mim. We have two trees too, but I've only been doing one these last few years. Having to pick up and re-dorate 1 is enough, thank you! :)
Danni: Nope, I sure didn't. I don't do red!
Miss: Ha, I'm sure you will get it done by Christmas eve for sure.
Gail: Thank you, Happy Holidays.
sugarcreekstuff: Some people have to have the real deal. Not me. I'm good with faking it. ;0)
Ang: The multi tree thing started for us because you can't see the family room tree from the front windows. Plus we have a lot of ornaments.
