Coop Improvement

I saw this grit/shell dispenser over at Farm Mom's blog a while back. That girl is always inspiring me with her ideas. I had C take a look and he said no problem. He had it together in no time and installed it right away. It works great and no more spilled grit or shell.

Wonderful idea. Will pass that to Marcy. How do you get the grit in, a funnel? Could this not also work for pellets?
How did you make the opening?
Gosh, full of questions, aren't I?

Gail: Follow the grit/shell dispenser link on this post. Eric gives details on what he did to make it.

Yay!! It looks great! I'll have to send this to Eric, he'll be tickled that someone else gave it try.

Nice! Your husband does excellent work. Of course, Eric's projects are amazing...our chicken run was modeled off his turkey run!
Maybe I'll attempt this particular project myself this spring...

Hey. I need some of those, too. I bet I could put it in my room and put my m and m's in it.....Just to try it out, of course. Till I get my own hens.

Ang: Tell Eric to keep the good idea's coming, oh he should think about writing a book!

Danni: Thanks! I know, he should write a book about all this stuff they've done.

Marc: Hmmm, well I don't know that it would go with your Decor! ROFL And you might want to downsize it, ya know so you don't look like a big ol' M&M pig.

Shy: Thanks, you'll have to keep it in mind for javelina treats or something. LOL

Don't worry Marcee, I'll have Eric design you something that hangs behind the couch and funnels to your mouth, so you don't even have to move. ;)
