My Girl.....

Isn't she lovely. She's supposed to be the boys dog and she is. But she's also mine. I'm the one who does the bulk of the caregiving. If I'm outside she's right there longing to lean up against me and get some scratching. I don't know what I'm going to do when she gets bigger. She's going to knock me over. It's kind of funny because I have never really liked large dogs. They always scared me. But I'm smitten with her.

oh, you're a lucky one to get a dog for the boys only to find the dog adores you and you adore her. I've got one too. Of course she adores Jack but she's MY dog. I'll post a picture soon.

I've read your blog but never commented. I'm glad you relate to Jack's verbal accomplishments. I'm also a bit relieved to hear that someone else agonizes over her child's speech. It's so endearing, the way your kid pronounces things, but so worrisome, too. You mourn the passing of those days and you'll never forget the pronunciation idiosyncracies. At our house, strawberry milk will always be "cha num."

Raise a glass of cha num to our kids!

I am new to all this but did enjoy your blog. Funny, one of my first blogs is about my dog too! The "right" dog can become an instant, irreplaceable part of your family!
